Latrice is the Queen of The Order (formerly known as The Order of the Sky Soldiers), a religious yet militarized organization in the continent of Valdhun. This land is also inhabited by winged humans known as Angels, individuals she openly dislikes. The individual reason why she can't stand them is unclear for most, still, makes sense for humans to reject their company given their story of subduing humans before the holy war, so it's not really something out of common sentiment.
As the Queen, she participated actively in the war even when in thoe types was incredibly rare for women to participate in battle. Along with Atto Bilanc -her husband- and Lisette Hrabrost would be known as a powerful force dedicated to slay Angels.
Since the war started little time after she started ruling with the King there are some people that say she had major sayings in starting the war per se. Still, this theory has not much support since most the credit for the conflict and their victory was given to the King.
Her weapon of choice is the sword, more specifically a thin and long sword with sharp end similar to a rapier. This weapon was made with a special material that only angels know and are capable of using to forge weapons and tools, known for having higher flexibility and durability than any material used by humans. The reason why she has this particular sword lies back at war times when she managed to take the life of one of the most powerful angels, The Angel of Six Wings. How she defeated them it's unclear, since witnesses say they found her holding the blade next to the angel's corpse, covered in their blood.
Her fighting style resembles the movements of classic swordmanship at first sight, but since she didn't learn how to fight thanks to a teacher or school but thanks to the experience of repeated fighting her, techniques usually are self made, product of certain times of need. Her movements tend to be fast and precise, always attempting to finishe the conflict as soon as possible. Thanks to her light body, she sometimes makes use of aerial techniques, though she avoids them because they wear her off sooner.
Her past and her original family are sensitive topics for her and won't be disclosed easily or just to anyone. Information of public disclosure includes that she's an only child and both her parents passed away. It's known she had a hopelessly bad relationship with her mother, though she's very reserved about how bad it was and how she reached her independence. As a mother she's strict, but loving. Her relationship with two of her children -Victory and Denken- is good, but has had problems with Enfer -the middle children- for years. Since the girl seems to only enjoy the company of her father, Latrice has decided to let her be, after years of hopeless attempts to fix their relationship, still, is a source of anxiety and concern to not understand why the girl rejects her -and her older sister- so much.
She has a very loving relationship with Atto -her husband- even when she is not the kind of person to show affection openly, he does it for both of them. He's actually very physical, embarrassing her more often than not. She's never used to being so overprotected by him, but understands it's because he loves her, and for such she's always grateful.
She's an strict woman, often called cold. Doesn't really like being the center of attention. She has a sharp mind and an endless curiosity for what the world has in store. She loves reading, more before falling asleep because calms her always active mind down. Her body was never strong in constitution, not even when she was young and her stamina seems to be somewhat less with the years, proccess accelerated by her habit of smoking. She can't regulate her body temperature very well, reason why extreme weather makes her feel very sick, especially colder temperatures.
